School Policies

Clear policies for a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Please review them carefully.

Dress Code

Uniforms let students express individuality through academics, create a professional atmosphere, and minimize bullying.

Tops: gray, black, white, or orange RCP polo/shirt with approved RCP logo; RCP hoodie allowed (zipped all the way up); solid long-sleeve undershirt OK.
Bottoms: shorts/skirts no less than 6 inches to the knee; no cut-offs, rips, overalls, sweatpants, or pajamas; leggings only under compliant shorts/skirts; worn at the waist.
Jackets: approved RCP logo required; hoods off inside; extra cold-weather layers come off before entering.

Special Days & Not Allowed

Fridays: RCP club/sport tee or post-RCP plan shirt (college, military). Dress-down fundraiser days: $1–$2, follow the theme. Game days: athletes may wear jerseys.
Never: headwear inside (unless medical/religious), sandals/slippers/Crocs/open-toed shoes, midriff tops, see-through fabric, baggy/saggy pants, inappropriate messages, gang-related clothing or bandanas, chains or hazardous jewelry.

Attendance

Excused Absences

No documentation needed: school functions, out-of-school suspension.
Documentation required: illness, medical/dental appointments, legal situations, family emergencies, weddings or bereavement, religious observation, college visits, chronic illness. Documentation must include the student’s name, reason, date(s), and a parent email/signature; official documentation is required for 4+ consecutive days.

Tardiness & Withdrawal

Tardiness is treated as a disciplinary issue (loitering); arriving more than halfway through class counts as an absence. 10 consecutive unexcused absences result in withdrawal from school.

Cell Phones

Each classroom has a cell phone locker — students place phones in the locker at the start of each class. Phones are allowed before school, after school, between classes, and during lunch. If a phone is seen during class it is confiscated to the front-office locker, with a referral for repeat refusals. Headphones and earbuds are not permitted during class. Need to reach your student during class? Call the front office at (480) 360-4518.

Student Parking

  • Pay the $35.00 permit fee online and complete the Parking Permit Submission Form; have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and registration ready
  • Permit must be clearly displayed; passes may not be sold, borrowed, duplicated, or traded (lost passes require a new purchase)
  • RCP may inspect vehicle exteriors and interiors with reasonable suspicion — refusing access means disciplinary action; violations can mean towing
  • Closed campus: students cannot go to their vehicle during the school day and may not leave for lunch and return
