Academics: Preparing Student for College & Career

Students attending Ridgeview College Prep will have access to accredited rigorous academic programming through Cambridge International Assessment coupled with School-wide AVID supports. Eleventh and twelfth grader student are strongly encouraged to participate in our partnerships with Central Arizona College (CAC), Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology (CAVIT), and East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT).

AVID is an internationally certified program that prepares students for four-year college eligibility. It has a proven track record of bringing out the best in students and in closing the achievement gap. The mission of AVID is to ensure that ALL students will succeed in a rigorous curriculum, complete a college preparatory path, participate in extracurricular activities (such as service learning, clubs, athletics), and increase their enrollment in four-year colleges. Learn more about AVID here.

Students who attend Ridgeview College Prep are encouraged to enroll in courses at Central Arizona College for dual credit either during the summer or during the school year in the evening. Most classes taught at CAC will not only count for college credit that will transfer to a university after graduation, but will also count as high school credit. RCP is also excited to partner with CAVIT and EVIT for students interested in vocational coursework during high school. Learn more about Cambridge here.
