A minimum of 24 credits across core subjects, electives, and specialized courses — work closely with your counselor to stay on track.
Credit Requirements — 24 Total
- English Language Arts4.0 credits · English 9, 10, 11, 12
- Mathematics4.0 credits · Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II + one more
- Science3.0 credits · Biology, Chemistry + one more
- Social Studies3.0 credits · US History, World History, Government/Economics
- Physical Education1.0 credit · PE or approved alternative
- Fine Arts or CTE1.0 credit · Art, Music, Drama, or Career & Technical Ed
- Electives8.0 credits · any approved electives
The Grand Canyon Diploma
Students may also earn the Grand Canyon Diploma — Arizona’s college-and-career-ready designation demonstrating rigorous coursework and readiness for success beyond high school:
- Complete all 24 standard graduation credits
- Earn a “C” or better in required courses
- Demonstrate readiness through approved assessments
- Complete additional coursework in STEM, Arts, or CTE pathways
